Mihaela Geoană, soţia candidatului PSD la preşedinţie, s-a gândit să-i dea o mână de ajutor soţului său în campania electorală. Mâna s-a transformat însă într-o palmă dată blazonului politic al lui Mircea Geoană, întrucât soţia sa face procese de intenţie presei şi-i ameninţă pe ziarişti. La sfârşitul săptămânii a sosit pe e-mailul redacţiei o scrisoare din partea departamentului de Comunicare al Fundaţiei Renaşterea, cu menţiunea „important“,
în care ni se atrăgea atenţia că, dacă vom scrie vreodată de rău despre această fundaţie sau despre conducerea ei, vom fi daţi în judecată. Trebuie precizat că ziarul „Curentul“ nu a publicat nimic despre activitatea Fundaţiei Renaşterea, condusă de Mihaela Geoană şi prin urmare această scrisoare ridică multe semne de întrebare. Mai întâi de toate, fundaţia Mihaelei Geoană face un proces de intenţie ziarului „Curentul“, proces nejustificat de vreun demers jurnalistic al acestui ziar. Tocmai de aceea, conţinutul scrisorii semnate de Cătălina Negară, specialist PR - Fundatia Renaşterea şi mâna dreaptă a Mihaelei Geoană, după cum ne-au informat sursele noastre, pare a ţine de teatrul absurdului: „În urma unor articole tendenţioase apărute în diverse publicaţii de nivel naţional sau local referitoare la alocarea de fonduri din partea Ministerului Sănătăţii către Fundaţia Renaşterea, în campania de informare pentru prevenirea infestării cu virusul HPV, reprezen-tanţii Fundaţiei Renaşterea vor solicita atenţia în cele ce urmează. Opiniei publice i-au fost transmise informaţii false, neverificate şi prezentate într-un mod tendenţios, în mod abuziv şi fără respectarea normelor deontologice. Din aceste motive, pentru a evita transmiterea de informaţii false către opinia publică, vă rugăm să ne solicitaţi în scris orice lămurire despre proiectele şi programele Fundaţiei Renaşterea“. Trebuie să precizez din nou că nu am abordat acest subiect şi nici nu ne-am manifestat intenţia de a o face. După ce specialista în PR a Fundaţiei Renaşterea trece în revistă temele care au stat la baza articolelor „tendenţioase“ de presă, cum ar fi campania de informare pentru prevenirea infestării cu virusul HPV sau accesul la bani publici de la guvern, scrisoarea se încheie apoteotic cu un mesaj de ameninţare la adresa ziariştilor: „Aşa cum a obişnuit din 2001, de la înfiinţare, Fundaţia Renaşterea are în centrul preocupărilor sale grija pentru starea de sănătate a romånilor, prin derularea de programe de prevenţie şi depistare precoce a cancerului, pe care le desfăşoară cu totală transparenţă. Aceeaşi transparenţă o manifestă faţă de întreaga presă şi faţă de dumneavoastră implicit, lucru pe care intenţionăm să îl facem şi în viitor. Însă, ţinånd cont de articolele tendenţioase apărute în presă, vă comunicăm faptul că, dacă în cadrul publicaţiilor conduse de dumneavoastră se vor face insinuări referitoare la activitatea Fundaţiei Renaşterea sau dacă se va aduce atingere imaginii fundaţiei ce conduce la diminuarea încrederii populaţiei în activitatea şi în misiunea sa, ne rezervăm dreptul de a vă acţiona în judecată“. Am încercat să obţinem o clarificare din partea reprezentanţilor acestei Fundaţii, dar, din păcate, telefonul a sunat în gol, angajaţii Mihaelei Geoană fiind de negăsit. Şi-atunci, vorba francezului: „Qui s’excuse, s’accuse“?
Strategia lui Hrebe?
Dacă nu este un demers prostesc al piariştilor de la Fundaţia Renaşterea, această scrisoare ar putea fi o provocare, parte a strategiei PSD dată pe piaţă de Hrebenciuc şi asumată, în colţul gurii, de Marian Vanghelie şi Olguţa Vasilescu. Potrivit acestei strategii, social-democraţii susţin că bătălia din toamnă se va da între Mircea Geoană şi Traian Băsescu şi că există informaţii solide că PD-L şi Traian Băsescu vor declanşa un atac virulent împotriva lui Mircea Geoană şi a familiei sale, în luna septembrie. Şi, probabil cum nu se prefigura niciun scandal la orizont, familia prezidenţiabilului Geoană a considerat oportun să provoace unul, ameninţåndu-i din senin pe ziarişti.
